The Cabernet Sauvignon is a mix of clones 4, 7, 29 and 169 from six distinct vineyards, located in St Helena, Yountville and our Rutherford. The Petit Verdot comes from a cool climate vineyard just south of the town of Napa. The grapes were individually berry sorted and went through extended maceration with the wines being on the skins from 36-59 days. It was then pressed and aged in a mix of Demptos, Baron, Leroi and Seguin Moreau French oak barrels – 35% new – for 21 months before being bottled. Appellation: Napa Valley Varietal: 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot Ageing: 21 months in French oak barrels, 35% new oak
Opening with alluring aromas of dark fruit, dark chocolate and caramelized figs, our 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon entices the senses. Sumptuous flavors of juicy cassis, raspberry and toasty oak are harmonious and well-balanced with a touch of flint. Voluptuous tannins, complex flavors and a long, luxurious finish make this an immensely enjoyable wine.
