The Cabernet Sauvignon is a mix of three different vineyards, located in St Helena, Yountville, and Rutherford. The riper grapes from St Helena form the backbone of the wine. The Petit Verdot comes from a cool climate vineyard in Oak Knoll which adds the textural component. The grapes were individually berry sorted and went through extended maceration with the wines being on the skins from 46-47 days. It was then pressed and aged in a mix of French oak barrels – 36% new – for 18 months before being bottled. Appellation: Napa Valley | Varietal: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Verdot | Aging: 18 months in French oak barrels, 46% new oak
